Objective(s) i. To ensure reliable transmission facilities for evacuation of Variable Renewable Energy (VRE) based generation in Pekua and Chakaria area located in the southern region of the country.

ii. To promote low carbon energy transition by diversifying the energy mix, and reduce dependancy on fossil fuels for energy security and sustainable development.

iii. To improve power transmission efficiency, reduce transmission losses, enhance the system capacity, and ensure a more reliable and resilient electricity supply to rural areas of the country.
