Objective(s) | i.To assess technical and economic justification of the planned transmission system expansion in the power sub-sector, Western Zone ii. To assess power sector in the project areas, network analysis, route identification, survey of substation area etc. iii. To assess expected benefits on the socio-economic situation of the populations in the project areas including Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), mitigation measures and resettlement action. iv. To perform cost estimation, economic and financial analysis. |
Scope of Work | 1. 132 kV Transmission System:Addition of system components in the Western Zone Grid Network: a) Construction of Khulna(S)-Gopalganj; Double Circuit 132 kV Transmission Line (60 km); b) Second circuit stringing on the existing Gopalganj-Madaripur 132 kV Transmission Line (45 km); c) Bay extension at Khulna South - 2 nos d) Bay extension at Gopalganj - 3 nos e). Bay extension at Madaripur - 1 no. 2. Ishurdi - Rajshahi 230 kV Transmission System project with following subcomponents a) Construction of the Ishurdi-Rajshahi 230 kV double circuit transmission line on steel lattice towers with twin conductor, OPGW shield wire; T/L length about 70 km. b) Extension of 2 (Two) 230 kV bays at the existing Ishurdi 230/132 kV S/S. c) Construction of a 230 kV Cable connection of some 400 m between the Terminal Tower of the a/m T/L at Ishurdi S/S and the existing line bay (none-equipped). This is to avoid crossing of existing T/L or other measures which would entail operational constraints. d) Construction of a new 230/132 kV Rajshahi Substation (230 kV portion, including the development of the entire substation area) and the installation of two 230/132 kV 225 MVA transformer at Rajshahi; e) Extension of 2 {Two) 132 kV bays at Rajshshi-2 132/33 kV S/S (To be built in another project). 3. Jhinaidaha 230/132 kV Hub Substation, 2 x 225 MVA, construction of a new substation to be inserted into the 230 kV T/L Khulna South and Ishurdi a) 4 x 230 kV line bay, 2 x 230 kV transformer bays,1 x 230 kV Coupling Bay; b) 4 x 132 kV line bays, 2 x 132 kV transformer bays, spare space; c) In-Out 230 kV Ishurdi - Khulna (S) T/L; length about 1.5 km 4. 132/33 kV AIS Substation Pansha (Rajbari) with 2 x 25/41 MVA power transformers; 4 x 132 kV bays a) Construction of new 132/33 kV Substation b) Insertion of the S/S into the existing 132 kV double circuit T/L Bheramara - Faridpur 5. 132/33 kV AIS Substation Mithapukur with 2 x 25/41 MVA power transformers; 4 x 132 kV bays a) Construction of new 132/33 kV Substation, b) Insertion of the S/S into the existing 132 kV double circuit T/L Rangpur - Polashbari 6. 132/33 kV AIS Substation Bhangura with 2 x 25/41 MVA power transformers; 2 x 132 kV bays a) Construction of new 132/33 kV Substation, b) Construction of a new double circuit 132 kV T/L -25 km from Baghabari S/S with one circuit strung 7. Bogra 230 / 132 kV Substation a) Addition of a 225 MVA power transformer (single phase banks) Optional Services Option - 1 : Within the firm element there are services requested for a detailed line route survey as stated below: b) Ishurdi - Rajshahi 230 kV double circuit T/L:, about 70 km c) Khulna(S)-Gopalganj Double Circuit 132 kV double circuit T/L, about 60 km, d) Baghabari - Bhangura 132 kV double circuit T/L, about 25 km Option - 2 : PGCB wishes to receive detailed information on the feasibility level (same quality as for the firm services) for the following components, referred to as "second priority" projects. These are: 8 .Khulna South - Satkhira 132 kV T/L, second circuit stringing, 56 km 9. Mongla - Bagerhat 132 kV expansion, single circuit on double circuit T/L, 31 km 10. Reconductoring of Bheramara - Rajbari 132 kV double circuit T/L- 80 km detailed line route survey as stated below : a) Mongla - Bagerhat 132 kV double circuit T/L, about 31 km. Option 3 : Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) |
