Second East-West Electrical Interconnector Project (Ashuganj-Jamuna Multipurpose Bridge-Sirajganj 230 kV Transmission Line)
| Objective(s) | i)To meet up the growing demand of the northern and western zones of the country by transmitting less costly generated power in eastern zones. ii) To ensure the supply of electricity. iii) To improve the voltage profile. iv) To reduce the load shading. v) To increase the stability of Grid networks. vi) To reduce system loss. vii) To shut down the power plants operating by oil of the north and western zones. viii) To reduce the dependency on the imported fuel oil in order to achieve self-sufficiency. |
